About: History

The landmark barn was built in 1945 on land owned by the S.A. Camp family to use as a breeding and training farm for their nationally famous string of harness horses. The farm and barn are unique in the fact that they were the first and earliest private acreage in the Central and Southern California region with a training track devoted exclusively to harness horses. Today, the Springville Ranch is privately owned and used for weddings, special events and commercial filming.
